Cs: Slunce svítilo jasně nad Karlštejnem, jeho paprsky tančily na vodách řeky Vltavy.
En: The sun shone brightly over Karlštejn, its rays dancing on the waters of the Vltava River.

Cs: Hradní věže se tyčily hrdě na kopci, a v jejich stínech kráčeli Ladislav a Petra.
En: The castle towers stood proudly on the hill, and in their shadows walked Ladislav and Petra.

Cs: "Láďo, podívej se, jak je ten hrad majestátní," nadchla se Petra, její oči se zářily nadšením.
En: "Láďa, look at how majestic the castle is," Petra exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Cs: Stála na nádvoří, obklopená starobylými zdmi, které šeptaly příběhy dávno zapomenuté.
En: She stood in the courtyard, surrounded by ancient walls that whispered stories long forgotten.

Cs: "Je v tom něco krásného, Peti," odpověděl opatrně Ladislav.
En: "There is something beautiful about it, Peti," Ladislav replied cautiously.

Cs: Byl starší a rozvážnější. Vzpomínky na jejich předky mu ležely v srdci jako zlatý poklad, který musí chránit.
En: Being older and more thoughtful, memories of their ancestors lay in his heart like a golden treasure he felt he must protect.

Cs: "Musíme zjistit, kdo byli naši předkové," trvala na svém Petra.
En: "We have to find out who our ancestors were," Petra insisted.

Cs: "Třeba tady najdeme něco úžasného!"
En: "Maybe we'll find something amazing here!"

Cs: Ladislav věděl, že jsou jejich cíle odlišné.
En: Ladislav knew their goals were different.

Cs: Zatímco on chtěl prozkoumat rodinnou historii bez narušení klidu hradu, Petra hledala vzrušení a dávno zapomenuté tajemství.
En: While he wanted to explore family history without disturbing the peace of the castle, Petra sought excitement and long-lost secrets.

Cs: Šli po kamenné chodbě, kde prach šustil pod jejich kroky.
En: They walked down a stone hallway, where dust whispered beneath their steps.

Cs: Cílem bylo navštívit knihovnu, doufali, že tam najdou staré dokumenty.
En: Their goal was to visit the library, hoping to find old documents there.

Cs: Ale byl tu problém. Hradní zaměstnanci byli přísní, neradi viděli, když se někdo hrabal ve starožitnostech.
En: But there was a problem. The castle staff was strict and did not like anyone rummaging through the antiques.

Cs: "Láďo, co je za tou tapiserií?" Petra narazila na tmavý gobelín visící v rohu chodby.
En: "Láďa, what's behind that tapestry?" Petra came upon a dark tapestry hanging in the corner of the hallway.

Cs: Ve světle slunce se zdál nezajímavý, ale Petru prýštící zvědavost nenechala na pokoji.
En: In the sunlight, it seemed unremarkable, but Petra's overflowing curiosity couldn't be contained.

Cs: "Je to jen kousek látky. Pojď pryč," varoval ji Ladislav.
En: "It's just a piece of cloth. Come away," Ladislav warned her.

Cs: Petra však neposlouchala. Zvedla roh tapiserie a za ní se ukázala skrytá dvířka.
En: But Petra didn't listen. She lifted the corner of the tapestry to reveal a hidden door.

Cs: "Je tu něco! Musíme se podívat!"
En: "There's something here! We have to take a look!"

Cs: "Děláš si srandu?" Ladislav si povzdechl, uvědomujíc si, že sestru nikdy neodradí.
En: "Are you kidding?" Ladislav sighed, realizing he'd never deter his sister.
