Cs: Podzimní slunce osvěcovalo dlážděné ulice Prahy, když se Jirka, Vlasta a Karel rozhodli pro nezvyklou výpravu.
En: The autumn sun illuminated the cobblestone streets of Praha as Jirka, Vlasta, and Karel decided on an unusual excursion.

Cs: V ten den bylo město plné dětí oblečených jako Mikuláš, čert a anděl, připravujících se na večerní nadílku.
En: That day, the city was full of children dressed as Mikuláš, devil, and angel, preparing for the evening's gifts.

Cs: Ale oni měli na mysli jiné dobrodružství.

Cs: Jirka, vždy plný energie a odhodlání, vedl své dva přátele úzkými uličkami podél řeky Vltavy, směrem ke Karlovu mostu.

Cs: Jirka bez váhání skočil do tmavé díry, jeho obvyklé nadšení ho hnalo kupředu.

Cs: Vlasta heslovitě za ním, přiskočila k mapám a svým znalostem, zatímco Karel je sledoval s mírnou skepsí.
En: Vlasta, briefly hesitating, followed him with her maps and knowledge, while Karel watched with mild skepticism.

Cs: Pod mostem byla tajemná chodba.
