Story Transcript:

Cs: Slunce tančilo po obloze, zářilo nad nekonečnými řádky mohutných slunečnic.
En: The sun danced across the sky, shining over the endless rows of mighty sunflowers.

Cs: V jižní Moravě to byl nádherný letní den.
En: In southern Moravě, it was a beautiful summer day.

Cs: Jakub a Eliška stáli na kraji svého rodinného pole.
En: Jakub and Eliška stood at the edge of their family field.

Cs: Právě se totiž stali dědici této slunečnicové farmy.
En: They had just become the heirs of this sunflower farm.

Cs: Jejich rodiče, kteří farmu roky pečovali, nedávno zemřeli a bratři a sestry byli nyní odpovědní za její budoucnost.
En: Their parents, who had tended the farm for years, had recently passed away, and the siblings were now responsible for its future.

Cs: Jakub byl starší bratr, měl vážný pohled a pevné ruce.
En: Jakub was the older brother, with a serious look and strong hands.

Cs: Každé ráno vstával v pět hodin, aby zkontroloval slunečnice, jestli jsou zdravé.
En: He got up every morning at five o'clock to check if the sunflowers were healthy.

Cs: Věděl, že musí tvrdě pracovat, aby farma přežila.
En: He knew he had to work hard to keep the farm alive.

Cs: "Musíme zůstat u toho, co známe," říkal Jakub na porady s Eliškou.
En: "We have to stick to what we know," Jakub said in meetings with Eliška.

Cs: Eliška byla naopak plná nápadů.
En: Eliška, on the other hand, was full of ideas.

Cs: Chtěla na farmu přitáhnout návštěvníky a udělat z ní místo, kam by lidé rádi chodili obdivovat přírodu a umění.
En: She wanted to attract visitors to the farm and make it a place where people would love to come to admire nature and art.

Cs: "Co kdybychom uspořádali festival slunečnic?"
En: "What if we organized a sunflower festival?"

Cs: navrhovala.
En: she suggested.

Cs: "Mohli bychom prodávat obrazy, sušené květiny a ukázat lidem, jak krásná je naše krajina."
En: "We could sell paintings, dried flowers, and show people how beautiful our landscape is."

Cs: Jakub však kroutil hlavou.
En: Jakub, however, shook his head.

Cs: "Je to příliš velké riziko.
En: "It's too big a risk.

Cs: Změna je nebezpečná, Eliško."
En: Change is dangerous, Eliško."

Cs: Eliška věděla, že musí být trpělivá, ale cítila, že její sny mohou farmě přinést nový život.
En: Eliška knew she had to be patient, but she felt her dreams could bring new life to the farm.

Cs: A tak čas plynul mezi prací na poli a tichými diskusemi u večeře.
En: And so time passed between working in the field and quiet discussions over dinner.

Cs: Jednoho letního večera se na obzoru objevily bouřkové mraky.
En: One summer evening, storm clouds appeared on the horizon.

Cs: Vzduch ztěžkl a Jakub si uvědomil, že když přijde bouře, mohou o letošní úrodu přijít.
En: The air grew heavy, and Jakub realized that if a storm came, they could lose this year's harvest.

Cs: "Musíme chránit plodiny!"
En: "We must protect the crops!"

Cs: zakřičel na Elišku.
En: he shouted to Eliška.

Cs: Společně začali pracovat, sundavali slunečnice, které by silný vítr snadno zlomil.
En: Together, they began working, taking down the sunflowers that strong winds could easily break.

Cs: Eliška pomohla najmout sousedy, aby rychle zvládli zachránit co nejvíc slunečnic.
