Cs: Jarní vzduch v Praze voněl čerstvými květy a nadějí.
En: The spring air in Praze smelled of fresh flowers and hope.

Cs: Velikonoční neděle se blížila a starobylý dům na okraji města ožíval pod rukama Mila's tety.
En: Easter Sunday was approaching, and the old house on the edge of the city was coming alive under the hands of Mila's aunt.

Cs: Tato rodinná oslava byla pokaždé plná života, ale tentokrát byla pro Milu zvláštní.
En: This family celebration was always full of life, but this time it was special for Mila.

Cs: Po nedávném rozchodu toužila po jistotě a klidné mysli.
En: After a recent breakup, she longed for certainty and peace of mind.

Cs: Jakub, její bratranec, ji přesvědčil, aby přišla.
