Cs: Cesta krásným českým venkovem vypadala slibně.
En: A trip through the beautiful Czech countryside looked promising.

Cs: Vítr foukal, listy padaly, ale slunce ještě mihotalo mezi těžkými mraky.
En: The wind was blowing, leaves were falling, but the sun still flickered between the heavy clouds.

Cs: Jiří, Petra a Karel byli na cestě ke svému srubu.
En: Jiří, Petra, and Karel were on their way to their cabin.

Cs: Ten den slavili svatou Kateřinu, což znamenalo, že pravá zima byla už blízko.
En: That day they were celebrating St. Catherine's Day, which meant that the true winter was near.

Cs: "Podívej, jak jsou ty kopečky krásné," řekla Petra, když projížděli kolem zvlněné krajiny a stromů pokrytých zlatem.
