Cs: Jasné letní slunce pálilo nad námořní základnou, kde se Jakub, mladý námořník, snažil projít přísnými cvičeními.
En: The bright summer sun blazed above the navy base where Jakub, a young sailor, was attempting to pass the rigorous exercises.

Cs: Vzduch byl vlhký a těžký, betonové plochy odrážely sluneční paprsky jako zrcadla.
En: The air was humid and heavy, and the concrete surfaces reflected the sun's rays like mirrors.

Cs: Bylo tak horko, že se zdálo, jako by samotný vzduch hořel.
En: It was so hot that it seemed as though the air itself was burning.

Cs: Jakub byl odhodlaný.

Cs: Chtěl vyniknout, chtěl být nejlepší.
