Cs: Průzračné zimní nebe se rozprostíraly nad Staroměstským náměstím, kde se shromáždily zástupy lidí.
En: The clear winter sky spread out over Staroměstské náměstí, where crowds of people had gathered.

Cs: Vzduch byl chladný a voňavý po svátečním svařáku a čerstvě upečených koláčích.
En: The air was cold and fragrant with festive svařák and freshly baked pastries.

Cs: Jiri se usmíval, když sledoval, jak se jeho přátelé smáli a tančili kolem obrovského vánočního stromu, jehož světélka zářila jako tisíce hvězd.
