Cs: Mrazivé vločky padaly tiše na střechu malé, rustikální chalupy schované v zasněženém lese.
En: The frosty flakes fell quietly on the roof of the small, rustic chalupa hidden in the snow-covered forest.

Cs: Vevnitř se třpytilo světlo jen od praskajícího krbu.
En: Inside, the only light sparkled from the crackling fireplace.

Cs: Jirka stál před krbem a přihodil další poleno na oheň, když se ozvalo slabé klepání do oken.
En: Jirka stood in front of the fireplace and threw another log on the fire when there was a faint tapping on the window.

Cs: Bouře zesílila.
En: The storm intensified.

Cs: "Snad tady nesmezíme," pronesl Jirka, jehož praktická povaha spoléhala hlavně na udržování tepla.
