Cs: Marek a Zuzana stály na ulici pokryté sněhem.
En: Marek and Zuzana stood on the snow-covered street.

Cs: Byla zima, a ještě tma.
En: It was cold, and still dark.

Cs: Jen lampy svítily na cestu.
En: Only the street lamps lit the way.

Cs: Čekali na tramvaj.
En: They were waiting for the tram.

Cs: Každý rok chodili společně na Karlův most, aby viděli východ slunce.
En: Every year they went together to Karlův most (Charles Bridge) to watch the sunrise.

Cs: To byl jejich rodinný zvyk.
