Cs: Radek seděl na dřevěné lavici v rušné policejní stanici na okraji Prahy.
En: Radek sat on a wooden bench in the busy police station on the outskirts of Prague.

Cs: Telefon neustále zvonil, a lidé kolem spěchali s důležitými papíry v rukou.
En: The phone rang constantly, and people hurried around with important papers in hand.

Cs: Bylo podzimní odpoledne, listy za oknem tančily ve větru, jako by chtěly připomenout, že čas se nikdy nezastaví.
En: It was an autumn afternoon; the leaves outside the window danced in the wind as if to remind that time never stands still.

Cs: Radek se díval na hodinky.
En: Radek glanced at his watch.

Cs: Byl nervózní.
En: He was nervous.

Cs: Už několik týdnů jeho škola čelila sérii krádeží.
En: For several weeks, his school had been facing a series of thefts.

Cs: Ztratily se učebnice, penály, dokonce i obědy dětí.
En: Textbooks, pencil cases, even children's lunches had gone missing.

Cs: Radek byl učitelem telocviku, ačkoliv měl rád svou práci, každý den se vracel domů s obavami.
En: Radek was a physical education teacher, and although he enjoyed his job, he returned home every day with concerns.

Cs: Myslel na bezpečí svých studentů.
En: He thought about the safety of his students.

Cs: Dnešní schůzka s policistkou Petrou byla jeho nadějí.
En: Today's meeting with Policewoman Petra was his hope.

Cs: Když se Petra konečně posadila naproti němu, usmívala se.
En: When Petra finally sat down across from him, she was smiling.

Cs: Chtěla pomoct.
En: She wanted to help.

Cs: „Dobrý den, Radku,“ řekla přátelsky.
En: "Hello, Radek," she said warmly.

Cs: „Řekněte mi, co se děje. Chci udělat, co budu moct.“
En: "Tell me what's happening. I want to do what I can."

Cs: „Dobrý den, Petro,“ odpověděl Radek. Vydechl úlevou a začal vyprávět.
En: "Hello, Petra," Radek replied, exhaling with relief and began to recount the incidents.

Cs: Vyprávěl o krádežích, o strachu dětí a o tom, jak se ve škole cítí nejistě.
En: He spoke about the thefts, the children's fears, and how insecure they felt at school.

Cs: Petra poslouchala pozorně, zapisovala si poznámky.
En: Petra listened attentively, taking notes.

Cs: „Chápu, že máte obavy,“ řekla Petra po chvíli.
En: "I understand your concerns," Petra said after a while.

Cs: „Bohužel máme mnoho jiných případů, ale chci vám pomoci.
En: "Unfortunately, we have many other cases, but I want to help you.

Cs: Máte nějaký plán?“
En: Do you have any plan?"

Cs: Radek kývl.
En: Radek nodded.

Cs: „Mám detailní záznam všech krádeží.
En: "I have a detailed record of all the thefts.

Cs: Navrhuji umístit skryté kamery na chodby a informovat rodiče.
En: I suggest installing hidden cameras in the halls and informing the parents.

Cs: Mohli by nám pomoct s hlídáním školy v odpoledních hodinách.“
En: They could help us monitor the school in the afternoons."

Cs: Petra se zamyslela a pak se usmála.
En: Petra thought for a moment and then smiled.

Cs: „To zní jako dobrý plán.
En: "That sounds like a good plan.
