Af: Die lug was koud en vars, en Table Mountain het soos 'n wag oor die klein dorpie aan die voet daarvan gestaan.
En: The air was cold and fresh, and Table Mountain stood like a sentinel over the small town at its foot.

Af: Jaco kyk uit oor die droë land en voel 'n beklemming in sy bors.
En: Jaco looked out over the dry land and felt a tightness in his chest.
