Story Transcript:

Uk: Улітку, коли сонце яскраво світило на сучасний передмістя, на вулицях було людно.
En: In the summer, when the sun brightly shone on the modern suburb, the streets were crowded.

Uk: У вихідні дні супермаркет завжди був переповнений людьми.
En: On weekends, the supermarket was always filled with people.

Uk: Оксана, зі списком покупок у руці, йшла швидким темпом до магазину.
En: Oksana, with a shopping list in hand, was briskly walking towards the store.

Uk: Її чоловік Тарас і підліток син Юрій ішли поруч.
En: Her husband Taras and their teenage son Yuriy walked alongside her.

Uk: Оксана була відома тим, що завжди все планувала до дрібниць, і сьогоднішній похід за продуктами не був винятком.
En: Oksana was known for always planning everything down to the last detail, and today's grocery trip was no exception.

Uk: Вона хотіла підготувати вечерю для родини, тому важливо було закупити все якомога швидше і при цьому не вийти за межі бюджету.
En: She wanted to prepare dinner for the family, so it was important to shop as quickly as possible and stay within budget.

Uk: Тарас плескав її по плечу: "Не хвилюйся, з нами все буде добре.
En: Taras patted her on the shoulder: "Don't worry, we'll be fine."

Uk: " Але Оксана лише зітхнула.
En: But Oksana just sighed.

Uk: "Я просто хочу все зробити правильно," - сказала вона.
En: "I just want to do everything right," she said.

Uk: Юрійовий розум був зайнятий іншим: він тримав у руках телефон і навряд чи звертав увагу на навколишнє.
En: Yuriy's mind was occupied with something else: he was holding a phone and barely paying attention to the surroundings.

Uk: "Юрію, ти міг би допомогти," — сказала Оксана, бачачи його байдужість.
En: "Yuriy, you could help," said Oksana, noticing his indifference.

Uk: При цьому супермаркет був наповнений гуркотом візків та гомоном людей, які поспішали здійснити покупки.
En: Meanwhile, the supermarket was filled with the clatter of carts and the hum of people rushing to make their purchases.

Uk: "Добре, мамо," - неохоче відповів Юрій, не відриваючи погляду від екрана.
En: "Okay, mom," Yuriy replied reluctantly, not taking his eyes off the screen.

Uk: Оксана лише похитала головою, відчуваючи, як її фрустрація зростає.
En: Oksana just shook her head, feeling her frustration grow.

Uk: Проте, як тільки вони дійшли до середини магазину, Оксана відчула, як її контроль над ситуацією слабшає.
En: However, as soon as they reached the middle of the store, Oksana began to feel her control over the situation slipping.

Uk: Вирішивши змінити свій підхід, вона сказала: "Тарасе, можливо, ти міг би зайнятися м'ясом, а Юрій — овочами?
En: Deciding to change her approach, she said: "Taras, maybe you could take care of the meat, and Yuriy — the vegetables?"
