Uk: Олександр сидів у вагоні потяга, що неквапливо перекочувався вздовж берега Чорного моря.
En: Oleksandr sat in the carriage of the train that leisurely rolled along the shore of the Chorne more, the Black Sea.

Uk: За вікном тягнулося осіннє небо, сіре і суміш світлого дня, що вже відходить в далечінь.
En: Outside the window stretched the autumn sky, gray and a mixture of the bright day that was already fading into the distance.

Uk: Поїзд прямував до Одеси — міста, яке вже чекало на нього під золотою ковдрою падолисту.
En: The train was heading to Odesa — the city that was already waiting for him under a golden blanket of falling leaves.

Uk: Олександр повертався додому на свято Святого Михайла.
En: Oleksandr was returning home for the feast of Saint Mykhaila, St. Michael.
