Uk: Світло ранку м'яко опускалося на засніжені вершини Карпат.
En: The morning light gently descended on the snow-capped peaks of the Karpaty.

Uk: Олена стояла біля вікна дерев'яного будиночка, пильно вдихаючи прохолоду зимового повітря.
En: Olena stood by the window of the wooden cabin, deeply inhaling the chill of the winter air.

Uk: Вона з другом Ярославом та його братом Данилом приїхала сюди на відпочинок перед святом Водохреща.
En: She had come here with her friend Yaroslav and his brother Danylo for a getaway before the celebration of Vodokhreshcha.

Uk: Хоча дівчина і мала трохи страху перед дикою природою, але твердо вирішила, що цього разу все буде інакше.
En: Although she had some fear of the wild nature, she firmly decided that this time would be different.

Uk: Вночі почався сніговій.
En: The snowstorm began at night.

En: Everything around was becoming blurry, but she knew one definite landmark.

En: It was a small wooden cross standing at the intersection of the ski trails.
