Sv: Det var en kall vinterdag i Stockholm.
En: It was a cold winter day in Stockholm.

Sv: Snön föll sakta ner över staden.
En: The snow was slowly falling over the city.

Sv: Albin satt inne på ett mysigt kafé mitt i city.
En: Albin sat inside a cozy café in the middle of the city.

Sv: Omkring honom glittrade små ljusslingor i fönstren och doften av nybakat bröd fyllde luften.
En: Around him, small strings of lights sparkled in the windows and the scent of freshly baked bread filled the air.

Sv: Ute på gatan rusade människor förbi med sina julklappspåsar, på väg att förbereda för julen.
En: Out on the street, people rushed by with their Christmas gift bags, preparing for Christmas.

Sv: Albin drog upp sin halsduk lite tätare kring nacken och såg sig omkring.
En: Albin pulled his scarf a little tighter around his neck and looked around.

En: I’m considering staying here in Stockholm."

Sv: Elin log förstående och beställde en kopp kaffe.
En: Elin smiled understandingly and ordered a cup of coffee.

Sv: De satte sig vid ett litet bord nära fönstret.
En: They sat down at a small table near the window.

Sv: Albin berättade om sin tvekan att åka hem.
En: Albin talked about his hesitation to go home.

Sv: Hans föräldrar kunde vara besvärliga, och det senaste årets konflikter gnagde i honom.
En: His parents could be difficult, and the conflicts of the past year bothered him.

Sv: "Jag förstår," sa Elin lugnt.
En: "I understand," Elin said calmly.

Sv: "Men jag tror verkligen att du borde följa med.

Sv: Minns du förra året när jag och min bror inte pratade med varandra?"
En: Do you remember last year when my brother and I weren’t speaking to each other?"

Sv: Albin nickade.
En: Albin nodded.

Sv: "Ja, jag minns."
En: "Yes, I remember."

Sv: Elin fortsatte, "Det var svårt för oss först.
En: Elin continued, "It was tough for us at first.

Sv: Men julen gav oss möjlighet att sätta oss ner och prata.
En: But Christmas gave us the chance to sit down and talk.
