Sr: Крај лета, сунце баца топле зраке на Калемегданску тврђаву.
En: At the end of summer, the sun casts warm rays on the Kalemegdan Fortress.

Sr: Милан, Јелена и Драган одлучили су да проведу дан истражујући ово историјско благо Београда.
En: Milan, Jelena, and Dragan decided to spend the day exploring this historical treasure of Belgrade.

Sr: Милан је био узбуђен, његово срце куцало је брже од помисли да ове древне зидине деле тајне српске историје.
En: Milan was excited, his heart beating faster at the thought that these ancient walls hold secrets of Serbian history.

Sr: Као што је предвидео, Јелена је била живахна.
En: As predicted, Jelena was lively.

Sr: Она је весело водила групу кроз калдрме, поздрављајући продавце сувенира и сликавши све, од старих топова до чудесног погледа на ушће Саве и Дунава.
En: She cheerfully led the group through the cobblestones, greeting souvenir vendors and taking photos of everything, from old cannons to the marvelous view at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.

Sr: Драган је, као и обично, био скептичан.
En: Dragan, as usual, was skeptical.

Sr: "Шта ту има забавно у старим камењем?
En: "What's so fun about old stones?"

Sr: ", питао је сањивим гласом.
En: he asked in a sleepy voice.

Sr: Милан је знао да неће бити лако привући Драганову пажњу.
En: Milan knew it wouldn't be easy to capture Dragan's attention.

Sr: Одлучио је да има план.
En: He decided to have a plan.

Sr: Испред зидина Остаци зорана Лазаревића, након што су млађи туристи одшетају, Милан је почео причати причу.
En: In front of the walls of The Remains of Zoran Lazarević, after the younger tourists walked away, Milan began telling a story.

Sr: "Овде, у XIV веку," започео је, "принц Лазар је бранио ове зидине против Мађара.
En: "Here, in the fourteenth century," he started, "Prince Lazar defended these walls against the Hungarians.

Sr: Било је то време велике храбрости и одлучности.
En: It was a time of great courage and determination."

Sr: " Његове очи су сијале док је објашњавао битку, херојске подвиге и мудрост старих српских владара.
En: His eyes shone as he explained the battle, the heroic feats, and the wisdom of the old Serbian rulers.

Sr: Јелена је слушала с дивљењем, а онда је приметила да се и Драган наклонио Милану мало ближе.
En: Jelena listened with admiration, then noticed that even Dragan leaned a little closer to Milan.

Sr: Миланов глас је био пун страсти, и како је прича долазила до свог врхунца, Драган је неочекивано почео постављати питања.
En: Milan's voice was full of passion, and as the story reached its climax, Dragan unexpectedly started asking questions.

Sr: "Како су тада људи живели?
En: "How did people live back then?"

Sr: ", питао је са занимањем које је изненадило и Милана и Јелену.
En: he asked with an interest that surprised both Milan and Jelena.

Sr: Причу је завршио с епским описом завршетка битке.
En: He ended the story with an epic description of the battle's conclusion.

Sr: Милан је приметио да се нешто променило у његовом пријатељу.
En: Milan noticed that something had changed in his friend.

Sr: "Можда није све у старим камењем," рекао је Драган са осмехом, "можда ипак има нешто вредно у овим причама.
En: "Maybe it's not all about old stones," said Dragan with a smile, "maybe there's...
