Pt: Afonso e Clara caminhavam pelo Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, inspirado pelas histórias e pela arquitetura Manuelina.
En: Afonso and Clara were walking through the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, inspired by the stories and the Manuelina architecture.

Pt: O sol de verão brilhava, e o dia prometia ser inesquecível.
En: The summer sun was shining, and the day promised to be unforgettable.

Pt: Clara, cuidadosa e organizada, tinha planeado cada detalhe da visita.
En: Clara, careful and organized, had planned every detail of the visit.

Pt: Afonso, por outro lado, levava em si um segredo: estava ali para descobrir um pouco mais sobre os seus antepassados que, segundo ele, tinham ligações a Lisboa.

Pt: "Afonso, não está no nosso plano... mas posso ver que queres muito," respondeu ela, ponderando.
En: "Afonso, it's not in our plan... but I can see you really want to," she replied, pondering.

Pt: Naquele momento, ela decidiu que a felicidade do amigo era mais importante que seguir rigidamente o plano.
En: At that moment, she decided that her friend's happiness was more important than strictly following the plan.

Pt: Dirigiram-se ao arquivo.
En: They headed to the archive.

Pt: O caminho estava quase deserto, em contraste com o mosteiro repleto de turistas.
