Pt: No pequeno café da vila em Sintra, o sol de inverno brilhava suavemente pelas janelas grandes.
En: In the small café of the village in Sintra, the winter sun shone softly through the large windows.

Pt: O cheiro de café fresco misturava-se com o perfume de doces pasteis de nata.
En: The smell of fresh coffee mingled with the scent of sweet pastéis de nata.

Pt: Leonor e Mateus sentaram-se junto à janela, onde podiam ver a rua de calçada a ganhar vida com as cores e sons do Carnaval.
En: Leonor and Mateus sat by the window, where they could see the cobblestone street coming to life with the colors and sounds of Carnaval.

Pt: Leonor olhou para a xícara de café, pensativa.
En: Leonor looked at her cup of coffee, thoughtful.
