No: Snøen falt stille utenfor hytta i fjellene.
En: The snow fell quietly outside the cabin in the mountains.

No: Innsiden var varm med røde gardiner og en sprakende peis.
En: Inside was warm with red curtains and a crackling fireplace.

No: Lukt av bjørkeved fylte rommet.
En: The scent of birchwood filled the room.

No: Jeg, Ingrid, satt i sofaen og stirret på ilden.
En: I, Ingrid, sat on the sofa and stared at the fire.

No: Tankene mine flakket mellom fortid og fremtid.
En: My thoughts flitted between past and future.

No: Lars satt ved spisebordet.
En: Lars sat at the dining table.
