No: Det var en kald vinterdag på gården til Lars og Ingrid.
En: It was a cold winter day at Lars and Ingrid's farm.

No: Snøen lå som et tykt teppe over jorda.
En: The snow lay like a thick blanket over the ground.

No: Alt var stille, bortsett fra den milde knirkingen av snø under føttene deres.
En: Everything was silent, except for the gentle creaking of snow under their feet.

No: Lars var ute i fjøset, i ferd med å mate dyrene.
En: Lars was out in the barn, about to feed the animals.

No: Ingrid stod ved kjøkkenvinduet og så på de hvitkledde trærne, som om hun allerede så for seg julelysene som skulle lyse opp gårdsplassen.
En: Ingrid stood by the kitchen window, looking at the snow-covered trees, already imagining the Christmas lights that would illuminate the farmyard.

No: Tilbake på gården satte Ingrid i gang.
