No: Sola skinte over Bryggen Wharf.
En: The sun shone over Bryggen Wharf.

No: De gamle trebygningene lyste i sterke farger mot den klare, blå himmelen.
En: The old wooden buildings gleamed in bright colors against the clear blue sky.

No: Det var sommer i Bergen, og hele byen forberedte seg til den store festivalen.
En: It was summer in Bergen, and the whole city was preparing for the big festival.

No: Latter og musikk fylte luften, og sjølukten brakte minner om lange sommerdager.
