Ja: 夏の日差しは強く、地上ではセミが鳴いている。
En: The summer sun was strong, and the semi were singing on the surface.
Ja: だが、広志（ひろし）は地下のシェルターに住んでいる。
En: However, Hiroshi lived in an underground shelter.
Ja: 彼は中年の技術者で、かつて地階のシェルターを設計していた。
En: He was a middle-aged engineer who had once designed basement shelters.
Ja: このシェルターは、彼が安全と感じる唯一の場所だ。
En: This shelter was the only place where he felt safe.
Ja: しかし、地下での生活は孤独だった。
