It: Nel cuore dell'estate, un fresco crepuscolo stava calando sulla piccola comunità recintata.
En: In the heart of summer, a cool dusk was falling over the small gated community.

It: Giovanni e Luca erano appena tornati da una lunga giornata al mare.
En: Giovanni and Luca had just returned from a long day at the sea.

It: La spiaggia era stata perfetta, con il sole splendente ed il mare calmo.
En: The beach had been perfect, with the sun shining and the sea calm.

It: Ma ora, una minaccia incombeva all'orizzonte sotto forma di nuvole temporalesche scure e fitte.
En: But now, a threat loomed on the horizon in the form of dark and dense storm clouds.

It: "Deve esserci un black out," disse Giovanni posizionandosi davanti al grande cancello in ferro battuto che delimitava l'ingresso della comunità.
En: "There must be a blackout," said Giovanni as he stood in front of the large wrought iron gate that marked the entrance to the community.

It: I cespugli curati incorniciavano la scena, mentre il cielo sopra di loro diventava sempre più minaccioso.
En: The well-manicured bushes framed the scene, while the sky above them became increasingly threatening.

It: Improvvisamente, un lampo squarciò il cielo, seguito da un tuono che fece tremare l'aria.
En: Suddenly, a lightning bolt split the sky, followed by thunder that made the air tremble.

It: Le prime gocce di pioggia iniziarono a cadere pesanti e sporadiche.
En: The first drops of rain began to fall heavily and sporadically.

It: "Senti il profumo di pioggia?
En: "Do you smell the rain?

It: Amo quell'odore," disse Luca, annusando l'aria con piacere.
En: I love that smell," said Luca, sniffing the air with pleasure.

It: "Andiamo oltre quel cancello, magari c'è un'altra via d'accesso oltre il lato opposto."
En: "Let's get past that gate; maybe there's another way in on the opposite side."

En: Giovanni hesitated.

It: La sua natura lo spingeva a trovare una soluzione immediata, ma Luca aveva un altro approccio: trovare un'altra prospettiva.
