Hu: A vonat lassan gördült ki a Keleti pályaudvarról.
En: The train slowly rolled out of the Keleti pályaudvar.

Hu: Kora tavaszi napsütés világította meg a vagonokat, ahol László és Zsófia helyet foglaltak.
En: Early spring sunshine illuminated the cars, where László and Zsófia had taken their seats.

Hu: Mellette halkan zúgott az utastér tele emberekkel, akik beszélgettek vagy csendben utaztak a sajt úti céljaik felé.
En: Beside them, the passenger area hummed quietly, filled with people who were either conversing or traveling in silence toward their own destinations.

En: But her brother heard.

En: "As you say," replied László with a short laugh that was more tired than cheerful.

En: The train moved at a calm pace but suddenly stopped at a small train station somewhere near the border.

En: The passengers began to grumble, impatiently awaiting further instructions.

Hu: „Laci, nem gondolod, hogy ideje lenne túllépni a múlton?
En: "Laci, don’t you think it’s time to move beyond the past?"

Hu: ” – Zsófia kérdezősködő hangja váratlanul halk volt, mégis határozottan.
En: Zsófia's questioning voice was unexpectedly soft, yet firm.

Hu: László sóhajtott, majd letette a könyvet.
En: László sighed and then put down his book.

Hu: Nézett Zsófia felé, aki visszapillantott rá, reménykedve.
En: He looked at Zsófia, who looked back at him, hopeful.

Hu: „Nem mindig ilyen egyszerű” – mondta László kissé megadón.
En: "It's not always that simple," said László somewhat resignedly.

Hu: „Te is tudod, mennyi minden történt.
En: "You know how much has happened."

Hu: ”„Tudom” – ismerte el Zsófia.
En: "I know," Zsófia acknowledged.

Hu: „De számomra fontos vagy.
En: "But you are important to me.

En: I don't want this to drive us apart."
