He: בחדר המלא בשמש של התיכון הציבורי של רחובות, תלמידים מתרגשים מדברים על התוכניות שלהם לקיץ.
En: In the sunlit room of the public high school in Rehovot, students excitedly talked about their summer plans.
He: נעם עמד בצד, מביט בשירה בצד השני של המסדרון.
En: Noam stood aside, watching Shira on the other side of the corridor.
He: ליבו דפק מהר, והוא החזיק ביד מכתב.
En: His heart pounded fast, and he held a letter in his hand.
He: היה זה המכתב שכתב לשירה כבר לפני ימים.
En: It was the letter he had written to Shira days ago.
He: נעם, תלמיד שקט ומחושב, תמיד חש בחיבה סודית לשירה, התלמידה המבריקה והבולטת בכיתה.
En: Noam, a quiet and thoughtful student, always had a secret fondness for Shira, the brilliant and outstanding student in the class.
He: היא החלה לארוז את הספרים שלה לאט לאט, בינתיים החברים מסביב נפרדו לשלום וקראו ברכת "בהצלחה" כשהיא מתכוננת לצאת לתוכנית הקיץ היוקרתית בחו"ל.
En: She began to pack her books slowly, while friends around her said goodbye and wished her "good luck" as she prepared to leave for the prestigious summer program abroad.
He: נעם נשם עמוק ושקל איך לגשת אליה.
En: Noam took a deep breath and weighed how to approach her.
He: הוא רצה כל כך להגיד לה מה שהוא מרגיש, אבל המילים לא יצאו.
En: He wanted so much to tell her how he felt, but the words wouldn't come out.
He: המחשבה על דחייה הציפה אותו.
En: The thought of rejection overwhelmed him.

En: As the bustle around increased and the school doors opened, Noam found the courage and approached Shira.

En: She looked at him in surprise when he handed her the letter.
He: בלי מילים נוספות, הוא הסתובב במהירות והלך.
En: Without further words, he quickly turned and left.

En: Shira smiled warmly at him, and then opened the letter and read it carefully.
