Story Transcript:

He: הבוקר על שפת הכנרת היה מלא תקווה ושקט.
En: The morning on the shores of the Kinneret was full of hope and calm.

He: משפחתם של מרים, איילת ובנה איתן הקימו מחנה קטן.
En: The family of Miriam, Ayelet, and her son Eitan set up a small camp.

He: מרים פרשה שמיכה גדולה ליד המים, והילדים שיחקו בקרבת מקום.
En: Miriam spread out a large blanket near the water, and the children played nearby.

He: רוח אביבית קלה נשבה, והמדורה הקרובה, שרידים מחגיגות ל"ג בעומר, הפיצה ריח של עשן נעים.
En: A light spring breeze blew, and the nearby bonfire, remnants from the Lag Ba'Omer celebrations, emitted a pleasant smoky scent.

He: מרים תמיד ידעה כיצד לשמור על משפחתה.
En: Miriam always knew how to keep her family safe.

He: כיוון שעיניה סקרו את האופק, היא הבחינה בעננים כהים מאיימים במרחק.
En: As her eyes scanned the horizon, she noticed ominous dark clouds in the distance.

He: היא ידעה שסערה מתקרבת.
En: She knew a storm was approaching.

He: "ילדים, אתם מתקרבים אליי," קראה בקול יציב.
En: "Children, come closer to me," she called out steadily.

He: אבל איתן, צעיר ונחוש להראות את אומץ ליבו, הביט אל האופק באופטימיות תמימה.
En: But Eitan, young and determined to show his bravery, looked at the horizon with innocent optimism.

He: "אמא, אני יכול לגלות מקום שתהיה מחסה," אמר, גאה בעצמו.
En: "Mom, I can find a place for shelter," he said, proud of himself.

He: ליאורה, אחותו הקטנה, התקרבה אליה, מגששת בידה.
En: Leora, his younger sister, came closer, feeling her way with her hand.

En: "Mom, I'm afraid," she whispered.

En: But Eitan wanted to prove himself, and in a moment of reckless courage, he went out into the strong wind to look for a safer place.

He: הסערה התגברה במהירות.
En: The storm quickly intensified.

He: הרוח נשבה בעוצמה והגשם התחיל לרדת כבד.
En: The wind blew fiercely and the rain began to pour heavily.

He: המים הסתחררו ליד השביל.
En: The water swirled next to the path.

He: מרים אספה את ליאורה והחליטה שהן חייבות למצוא מחסה לפני שייראו באופק הגבעות שמאחוריהן.
En: Miriam gathered Leora and decided they needed to find shelter before the hills behind them became visible in the horizon.

He: בעודה חובקת את ליאורה, ניסתה מרים להביט סביב ולראות לאן הלך איתן.
En: While embracing Leora, Miriam tried to look around and see where Eitan had gone.

He: הסופה הרועמת הקשתה עליה.
En: The roaring storm made it difficult for her.

He: "איתן!
En: "Eitan!"

En: she called out, but the thunder drowned her voice.
