Story Transcript:

He: חדר המעונות היה מלא באור השמש של האביב, כשהוא משתרע דרך החלון הקטן שמעל השולחן.
En: The dorm room was filled with the spring sunshine, stretching through the small window above the desk.

He: ספרים פזורים על השולחן.
En: Books were scattered on the desk.

He: כרזות תלויות על הקירות, וחדר מלא באווירה של חיים סטודנטיאליים.
En: Posters hung on the walls, and the room was full of a student atmosphere.

He: בפינה, על שולחן קטן, הייתה הסדר פסח.
En: In the corner, on a small table, was the Seder Pesach.

He: את הסדר הכינה יעל, סטודנטית רצינית ואכפתית שגרה עם שניים חברים לחדר – נעם ועמית.
En: The seder was prepared by Yael, a serious and caring student who lived with her two roommates – Noam and Amit.

He: בימים לפני פסח, יעל הייתה עסוקה בלימודים כמו תמיד, אבל גם חשבה על החג.
En: In the days leading up to Passover, Yael was busy with studies as usual, but she also thought about the holiday.

He: היא רצתה להכין סדר פסח יפה, אפילו כאן בחדר המעונות.
En: She wanted to prepare a beautiful Seder Pesach, even here in the dorm room.

He: זה היה חשוב לה מאוד להרגיש מחוברת למסורת של המשפחה שלה.
En: It was very important for her to feel connected to her family's tradition.

He: אבל כל זה לא היה פשוט.
En: But all of this wasn't simple.

He: נעם ועמית לא הבינו למה היא משקיעה כל כך הרבה זמן ואנרגיה בהכנות.
En: Noam and Amit didn't understand why she was investing so much time and energy in the preparations.

He: "למה צריך את כל זה?
En: "Why is all of this necessary?"

He: " שואל נעם באגביות, מנקה פירורי מצות מהשולחן.
En: Noam asked casually, brushing matzah crumbs off the table.

He: "זה סתם מסורת ישנה".
En: "It's just an old tradition."

He: עמית הנהן בראשו, ולא אמר כלום.
En: Amit nodded his head and said nothing.

He: יעל ניסתה להסביר בעדינות על החשיבות של הפסח והמשמעות האישית שלו עבורה.
En: Yael tried to gently explain the importance of Passover and its personal significance for her.

He: "זה לא רק מסורת," היא השיבה, "זה חלק ממני ומהמשפחה שלי".
En: "It's not just a tradition," she replied, "it's a part of me and my family."

En: But then, when it came time to read the Haggadah, he expressed discomfort by calling the rituals "outdated."

He: יעל התחילה להרגיש כעס ותסכול.
En: Yael started to feel anger and frustration.

He: אבל אז היא לקחה נשימה עמוקה, והחליטה לדבר מהלב.
En: But then she took a deep breath and decided to speak from the heart.
