Story Transcript:

He: הקניון היה מלא חיים, המוני אנשים הלכו בחנויות השונות.
En: The kanyon was bustling with life, with crowds of people walking through the various stores.

He: היו אורות נוצצים ופוסטרים עם ברכות לשנה החדשה.
En: There were sparkling lights and posters with greetings for the shana hachadasha (New Year).

He: יוני ואיילת התהלכו ביחד, מדברים וצוחקים.
En: Yoni and Ayelet strolled together, talking and laughing.

He: האוויר היה קריר, אבל החום של המקום מלא האנשים חימם אותם.
En: The air was cool, but the warmth of the place, filled with people, kept them cozy.

He: יוני ניסה ליהנות מהרגע.
En: Yoni tried to enjoy the moment.

He: הוא ידע שעוד מעט הכול ישתנה.
En: He knew that soon everything would change.

He: הוא היה צריך להתחיל ללמוד בבית ספר חדש, והדבר הזה דאג אותו מאוד.
En: He had to start studying at a new school, and this worried him greatly.

He: מה אם לא ימצא חברים?
En: What if he didn't make friends?

He: מה אם לא יסתדר עם המורים החדשים?
En: What if he didn't get along with the new teachers?

He: מחשבות אלו לא עזבו אותו, אך הוא לא רצה להרוס את החגיגה.
En: These thoughts wouldn't leave him, but he didn't want to ruin the celebration.

He: איילת, עם עיניה המאירות וחיוכה הכנה, דיברה בהתלהבות על הזיקוקים שיראו בחצות.
En: Ayelet, with her bright eyes and sincere smile, spoke excitedly about the fireworks they would see at midnight.

He: "זה יהיה כל כך יפה!
En: "It will be so beautiful!"

He: " היא אמרה.
En: she said.

He: יוני חייך, אך בפנים הוא הרגיש אי שקט.
En: Yoni smiled, but inside he felt uneasy.

He: הוא עצר פתאום, מביט באיילת.
En: He suddenly stopped, looking at Ayelet.

He: הוא ידע שזה הזמן.
En: He knew it was time.

He: "צריכה לספר לך משהו," הוא אמר, קולו רועד מעט.
En: "I need to tell you something," he said, his voice slightly trembling.

He: איילת נעצרה, מביטה בו בעדינות.
En: Ayelet halted, looking at him gently.

He: "אני באמת חושש להתחיל בבית הספר החדש.
En: "I'm really anxious about starting at the new school.

He: מה אם לא אצליח להסתדר?
En: What if I can't fit in?"

He: "איילת נגעה בכתפו בעדינות.
En: Ayelet gently touched his shoulder.

He: "יוני, אתה לא לבד," היא אמרה בביטחון.
En: "Yoni, you're not alone," she said with confidence.

He: "אתה תמיד יכול לסמוך עלי.
En: "You can always count on me.

He: אנחנו חברים טובים.
En: We are good friends.

He: ואם תהיה בעיה, נפתור אותה ביחד.
En: And if there's a problem, we'll solve it together."

He: "יוני הרגיש הקלה שטפה אותו.
En: Yoni felt a wave of relief wash over him.

He: הוא מעולם לא דיבר על כך עם איש, והרגיש טוב יותר לחלוק זאת עם איילת.
En: He had never spoken about it with anyone, and it felt good to share it with Ayelet.

En: Her understanding expression helped him greatly.
