Nl: De sneeuwstorm kwam onverwacht.
En: The snowstorm came unexpectedly.

Nl: Zaanse Schans, normaal een rustige, schilderachtige plek, was nu bedekt met een dikke laag sneeuw.
En: Zaanse Schans, normally a quiet, picturesque place, was now covered with a thick layer of snow.

Nl: Mees stond in het midden van de straat, gefrustreerd.
En: Mees stood in the middle of the street, frustrated.

Nl: Hij had zijn schetsboek klaar, maar de sneeuwvlokken maakten het onmogelijk om de windmolens duidelijk te zien.
En: He had his sketchbook ready, but the snowflakes made it impossible to see the windmills clearly.
