Nl: De lucht buiten was grijs en regen tikte zachtjes tegen de ramen van het koffiebranderijtje aan de rand van Amsterdam.
En: The sky outside was gray and rain tapped softly against the windows of the koffiebranderijtje on the edge of Amsterdam.

Nl: Binnen was het warm en rook het heerlijk naar versgemalen koffiebonen.
En: Inside, it was warm and smelled wonderfully of freshly ground coffee beans.

Nl: Thijs, de barista, stond stil achter de toonbank.
En: Thijs, the barista, stood quietly behind the counter.

Nl: Hij schonk koffie met zorg in een grote kop en zette deze voor een klant op tafel.
En: He carefully poured coffee into a large cup and set it on the table for a customer.

Nl: Thijs was een rustige jongen.

En: I heard you talking about your adventure in Spain last time."

Nl: Jasmijn keek op, verrast, maar haar glimlach maakte Thijs meteen gerust.
En: Jasmijn looked up, surprised, but her smile immediately reassured Thijs.

Nl: "Jazeker!
En: "Absolutely!

Nl: Reizen is mijn grootste passie," antwoordde ze enthousiast.
En: Traveling is my greatest passion," she replied enthusiastically.

Nl: Terwijl ze praatte over haar reizen door Europa, voelde Thijs een vonk van opwinding.
