Nl: In het koude hart van de winter, net voor de kerstvakantie, was er iets speciaals gepland op de Openbare Middelbare School in Enschede.
En: In the cold heart of winter, just before the Christmas holidays, something special was planned at the Openbare Middelbare School in Enschede.

Nl: De school zou het nieuwe jaar vieren met een groot feest.
En: The school was going to celebrate the new year with a big party.
