Story Transcript:

Ca: Un matí fresc de principis de primavera, el barri de Gràcia vibrava de colors i música alegre.
En: On a crisp early spring morning, the barri of Gràcia vibrated with colors and cheerful music.

Ca: Era el dia de Sant Medir, i els carrers estaven plens de gent disfressada, somrient i recollint caramels llançats des de les carrosses.
En: It was Sant Medir day, and the streets were filled with people in costumes, smiling and collecting candies thrown from the floats.

Ca: Enmig d'aquest ambient festiu, Neus caminava amb un objecte peculiar, un calamar de peluix enorme que destacava al costat de les seves sabates de colors vius.
En: Amidst this festive atmosphere, Neus walked with a peculiar object, a huge plush squid that stood out alongside her brightly colored shoes.

Ca: Neus sempre havia estat creativa, amb una imaginació capaç de teixir històries fascinants.
En: Neus had always been creative, with an imagination capable of weaving fascinating stories.

Ca: Però avui, aquesta qualitat seria posada a prova.
En: But today, this quality would be put to the test.

Ca: Amb el calamar sota el braç, li era complicat esquivar les mirades curioses dels seus veïns.
En: With the squid under her arm, it was difficult for her to dodge the curious glances of her neighbors.

Ca: Just a la cantonada del carrer Verdi, es va topar amb en Jordi.

Ca: "Què és això, Neus?

Ca: " va preguntar en Jordi, rient i assenyalant el calamar.

Ca: Neus es va empassar i va inventar ràpidament: "Oh, en realitat és part d'un projecte de recerca marina.
En: Neus swallowed and quickly made up: "Oh, it's actually part of a marine research project.

Ca: Estic estudiant la migració dels calamars a l'Atlàntic!
En: I'm studying the migration of squids in the Atlantic!"

Ca: "En Jordi va aixecar una cella, intrigat, però va riure bonament i va seguir el seu camí.
En: Jordi raised an eyebrow, intrigued, but laughed good-naturedly and went on his way.

Ca: A poc a poc, l'excusa es va anar fent més i més elaborada amb cada trobada.
En: Gradually, the excuse became more and more elaborate with each encounter.

Ca: "Sí, sí, i també estem provant noves tècniques d'observació amb acabats de peluix per a camaraderia amb les criatures marines," explicava Neus a la Mercè, que havia quedat bocabadada.
En: "Yes, yes, and we're also testing new observation techniques with plush finishes for camaraderie with marine creatures," Neus explained to Mercè, who was left speechless.

Ca: El sol brillava amb força i el caliu de la festa omplia el barri, mentre Neus continuava la seva ruta esquivant preguntes.
En: The sun shone brightly, and the warmth of the celebration filled the barri, as Neus continued her route dodging questions.

Ca: A mesura que la història creixia, també ho feia el pes del calamar.
En: As the story grew, so did the weight of the squid.
