Ca: Els flocs de neu cobrien suaument el terra al voltant de la casa gran de la família.
En: The snowflakes softly covered the ground around the large casa of the family.

Ca: L'interior estava ple de caliu.
En: The interior was full of warmth.

Ca: Es barrejaven les olors de castanyes torrades i vi negre i ressonava una suau música catalana.
En: The smells of roasted chestnuts and red wine mixed together, and there was soft Catalan music resonating.

Ca: En aquesta efusiva atmosfera familiar, en Jordi es trobava una mica distret.
En: In this warm family atmosphere, Jordi found himself a bit distracted.
