The Kingdom of Heaven (Part 3)

To many professing Christians the Kingdom of Heaven is a place to aspire to get to after death, hence we hear many speaking of "making it to heaven". Nothing could be farther from the truth! The Kingdom of Heaven, sometimes referred to as the Kingdom of God, is here and now and has been since the coming of the Saviour Jesus Christ into the world.  It is the rulership of God over our personal lives from the moment we come to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and salvation.  We are forgiven and 'saved' from eternal judgement, and received into the Kingdom where we will be for eternity.  Faithful disciples of the Lord are given the right to become sons of God (John 1: 12-13) and become citizens of His divine Kingdom.  They live in that Kingdom presently in their new birth, living solely in the will of God through obedience to the only Saviour and Son of God, to the glory of God.

If we understood this biblical fact, we would live right in the sight of God as His people in this life as we look forward to the appearing of the Lord in His second coming to take His people Home, and God's new creation of the new heavens and earth, the home of righteousness for eternity.

Those who do not understand this fact live in doubt of their salvation, hoping they can deliver enough works to be allowed into God's Kingdom at their death.  This is a great deception of the devil because no-one is saved by works however great they may seem in the eyes of the world (Ephesians 2: 8-9).

There is only ONE way to be a Christian!
