Episode 11 baby! Kristy was lucky enough to interview Sofia, the main homie behind Florida Shoegaze band Funeral Homes. Not only did they get along immediately, but they might have spent more time laughing than talking. In this episode, they dive into their new record Blue Heaven, working in retail, the fall and rise of cassettes for merch, Mickey Mouse's first rap record, and Jacksonville shoegaze venues, and of course World Market.

Sophia formed her band Funeral Homes in Jacksonville after posting a Craigslist ad. They went through several lineup changes but eventually recorded their debut album while Sophia worked at Office Depot. Now they're finishing their second album with producer Lon Bashiri and playing shows around Jacksonville while Sophia works retail at World Market.
