Welcome to the latest edition of First State Kopites – a podcast for Liverpool supporters in Delaware and friends of those Liverpool supporters.

It’s episode 17 of our 4th season. I’m Paul and I am joined by Daz, Justin and Haitham. It’s December 6th - Reds haven’t played for 3 and a half weeks. So much speculation about ownership, transfer windows, and the return to action in just over a week. And the Human Rights World Cup in the background.

Season so far:

• Finished with a couple of good winds. Núñez and Salah had big moments.


• Injuries have taken their toll on the midfield - Fabinho, Hendo, Elliott


• There’s an adjustment to be made when you add 2 new strikers


• Where are we with the tactical changes? 4-4-2 suggested someone on our chat group

The break:

• New ownership?


• The backroom staff exodus


• Transfers - buying players at source? Not possible for us, is it?


• Only 7 players at the World Cup, with 6 still there through at least December 11th.

Upcoming:

• 2 friendlies in the Dubai Cup - Lyon and Milan?


• Man City away on December 22nd


• Villa away on Boxing Day


• Leicester Home on December 30th
