2 wins in a week, when Covid probably had more headlines than Liverpool, but we quietly did enough to maintain our league title challenge.

Villa - the Stevie G circus, Stuart Atwell!, felt like we controlled the game (Villa - no shots on target)

Newcastle - it felt like we were taking it easy at points through that game, watching it back, it could have been 5 or more easily. Absence of Fab and Virgil probably accounts for some of that.

Then…  away at Spurs, Leicester League Cup (maybe), Leeds (Boxing Day), Leicester. If we play all of these games we will be more than half way through the league season.

Other stuff:

• Champions League draw - embarrassing third party ‘software’ glitch


• Tuchel and Chelsea - it must be hard with all those injuries
