Hand it over, hand it over, hand it over Manchester! S6 E25

Welcome dear listener to the latest episode. I’m Paul and I am joined by Daz. The Reds beat City last weekend, and in similar fashion outplayed Newcastle this midweek. Top of the Premier League by 13 from Arsenal (game in hand), 19 from Forest, and 20 from City and 21 from Chelsea. We’ll review the City and Newcastle games and then look ahead to the PSG round of 16 away leg and maybe Southampton at home. Part One - finally we win a league game at the Etihad

• Was this a case of them revisiting the need for control or Man City forced us into a low block? Or was this a Rafa tribute moment?

• Salah, Dominik, Virgil, Ibou - and lots of other great performances.

• On City:

• Doku’s unbelievable performance… oh wait

• A few weeks ago, Sean asked if Rico Lewis ever played right back for them, only when they lose was my reply - I am taking credit for that

Part Two - Newcastle at home xG 1.7 (Gakpo .52) to 0.23

• ‘Turn on the pan of league winning oil at a low temperature’ Ben Jonno, so we can still keep enjoying it.

• Control is back, just in time for the Champions League round of 16

• We took the referee out of the equation today - Salah penalty??

• Dominic Szobozlai, Gravenberch, Mac Allister. Salah’s 17th assist.

Part Three - upcoming games and elsewhere:

• Arsenal’s enablement of our title challenge:

• West Ham fans to Rice - ‘You should have signed for a big club’

• PSG - why bother trying to get first in the Champions League table?

• We are not favorites in this tie!! 

• Salah - when asked about whether he is getting better, his answer is the equivalent of, well some people prefer Sgt. Pepper others says it’s Abbey Road…..

• Rebecca Lowe still doesn’t have him in the EPL all time XI…. - recency bias.. What about unconscious bias?
