ABOUT MARCELA HUERTAS-HENAO 

Marcella is a great woman who has used her voice to advocate for domestic violence and assault victims. Her survival story is played by WCA in a short story called Empty Place at the table. She also advocates for children, women, and family and is now part of an initiative for pairing impulse secondary Ascend at the Aspen Institute in Washington, DC. She also graduated with a social science degree at Union County College and completed a new leadership program in Eagleton Institute, the Center for American Women in politics. She also started and co-run the children's cafe program. They help empower children to become future leaders since 2014, but her most valuable she has been is the mother that she is today.
