Investigation Discovery (ID) introduces the new documentary film, The Serial Killer’s Apprentice, about “The Candyman Killer” Dean Corll, who stalked the streets of Houston in the early 1970s, killing at least 28 young men in what was the largest mass murder in U.S. history at the time. Corll’s accomplice was Elmer Wayne Henley Jr., who ultimately murdered Corll and confessed to the crimes. Now, for the first time in 50 years, Henley speaks to renowned criminologist Dr. Katherine Ramsland, who is a best-selling author on the topic of serial killers and she’s a renowned criminologist. During the film, Dr. Ramsland will be offering chilling insight into the motivation for the heinous crimes. Dr. Ramsland shares more insight into the documentary film The Serial Killer’s Apprentice, Sunday, August 17th @ 9pm (ET/PT) on the ID Channel.
