Stepping into the Power of Mid-Life with Jennifer Arthurton

There's power in mid-life if you tap into it. On the outside, it looked like Jennifer Arthurton had it the dream life. A very successful corporate career, a beautiful house, lots of travel, and a super fit body. But coming into her 50th year, she found herself in the position of losing it all. She got divorced, lost her job, her daughter went to college, and to top it off, she got extremely sick for months, so that body she worked so hard for had even failed her.

In this episode, we share how a woman's identity and sense of purpose get tied up in who she can please and what she can accomplish. Jennifer shares her story of literally being on her back for months, until one day, she decided to go inward and see if she could learn who she was beyond what she was producing. This started her healing journey.

The show talks about the mid-life woman's journey and how there is so much available to women in this time of life, but you have to get past the proving energy and people-pleasing that drove many of us.

Jennifer Arthurton is the creator, and founder of Old Chicks Know Sh*t, a community and podcast (of the same name) designed to inspire and support midlife women in chasing their dreams and creating their kick-ass next chapter.
