Living an Iconic Life with Judy Van Niekerk

This show starts with Judy sharing what her version of an iconic life is. It involves lots of freedom to do and be and have what you want. But for Judy, the journey was quite difficult. Her horrific childhood entailed being a prisoner to her father where there was regular abuse of many, many kinds. (Trigger warning if you have some past trauma)

But despite more trauma than most people could even imagine, she had what could only be described as a mystical or spiritual experience. She had a deep knowing that she would be ok. In this moment she saw herself and had the soul recognition that she was more than her body. So even though her body was being harmed, she could be in moments of peace and felt healing and extreme love.

The abuse went on for a few more years, but this inner connection that allowed her to feel one with all of life, gave her purpose and reason to keep going. She had the deep knowing (in spite of all the abuse) that she would live a life of prosperity and beauty.

This is truly a story of transformation. As Judy shares, she knew that her abuser could break her body, but could never break her spirit/soul. This knowing kept her alive.
