Connie started out as a very number-focused accounting/bookkeeping person. She endeavored to grow her business and after 6 years, she realized she had huge debt, hadn’t paid herself in 6 years, and was falling apart. She had a situation where everything looked good on the outside, but she was miserable. The fact that she was a financial person made it much worse in that she had mis-managed her business, so she decided to dive in and learn more about money so she could help her clients beyond just the ‘number crunching.’
In this episode, we talk about how money is triggering for many, loaded with shame, and will bring up all kinds of “stuff” for people.
One fun question we talked about…”How do you think about money?” (It’s more than you think it is!!)
We also talk about debt and how to utilize it to move forward, versus holding old notions that debt is bad or dangerous, and we gave ideas about how to redo your relationship with money.
