Having Radical Faith with Shayla Boyd-Gill

Shayla Boyd-Gill had a successful engineering job that was making great money. But when her young son's teacher told her that because he was smarter than most of the kids, keeping him in school would "dumb him down" so she suggested a private school or homeschooling. Initially, Shayla freaked out but found herself being willing to leave her job to homeschool her son. She had no idea how she’d do it, or how to bring in money. But one of her ways of finding the answers is by asking, “How can I” and then waiting. This led her to find the right community and the next steps for her to replace her income.

The answer to “What are you really good at” inspired her to realize she was really good at birthing babies! Thus, she moved into being a childbirth educator and doula. From here, she had a thriving business, but it came at a cost of no time and always being on the go, so she had to shift again. Hitting this wall again taught her that she needed a system to grow/scale, and how to run a business. We talk about her journey, learning to say no, allowing her business to grow and expand, and now to finally be the CEO that serves her life.
