From an Eating Disorder to a Beautiful, Successful Business with Malaine Leah Butler

Malaine Leah Butler is a transformational business coach who supports female leaders & conscious creators in transforming their business to prioritize family, financial freedom, and a life they love.

In this episode, Malaine shares the story of recovery from addiction and eating disorders. She was very much programmed to look perfect so her life would be perfect. She suffered from bulimia for years and never wanted to quit, until her family very lovingly offered her support in a non-judgmental way. She notes that she was a fallen-away catholic who was pretty mad at God, but something inside her told her to be willing to get help.

So accompanied by her father, she walked into her first 12-step meeting. After she started attending meetings, she literally heard the voice of God tell her that if she would surrender, listen, and do what was needed, God would lift the addiction. Thus began her deep dive and journey into recovery and personal growth.

She shares how she used the process of trust and faith to create her now very successful coaching business. Taking one step at a time, she was led to a personal development company. She then became a trainer for them, and eventually went into business for herself.

We also talk a great deal about Alpha women’s identity and how very often we measure our worth based on what we have or what we do versus being lovable. This is a very inspiring episode!
