Joining me on today’s episode is Denise Woodard, Founder of Partake food, the gluten-free, vegan, and allergy-friendly snack brand working to eradicate childhood food insecurity.⁣

The lightbulb moment came as Denise’s 1-year-old daughter Vivian was diagnosed with several difficult food allergies, both limiting her diet and making the eating process a whole less fun. A nudge in the right direction from nanny Matha, and a bump-in with a stranger suggesting Denise enter a local pitch competition, and Denise ended her decade long career with coca-cola to pursue this idea full-time⁣.

Partake was founded, the US-based line of super yummy snacks that are now in more than 6,000 retail stores across the US including Target and Whole Foods, on their mission to make better-for-you, safe snacking enjoyable, inclusive and accessible⁣

In this episode, we chat about Denise’s purpose-driven approach to creating this company, how she got the likes of Rihanna and Jay Z investing in her business, and what the early grind looked like for her when she was just starting out⁣.
