Welcome to the Creative South Podcast! I’m your host, Jason Frostholm. My guest this week is Aaron Sechrist, better known to the design world as OK Pants. Aaron has worked with clients like Disney, House of Blues, and Patton Oswalt; as well as having his work featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We talk about growing up in Cleveland, his blue color work ethic, getting his start out of college designing ads for escorts in the local arts and leisure newspaper, his love for stand-up comedy, and his involvement with Weapons of Mass Creation, all right after this.
I’m taking the podcast to Cleveland in two weeks to do a live two-hour version of the show, but the only way you are going to get to see and hear the Creative South Podcast live is if you are at Weapons of Mass Creation. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you’re in luck because, if you get your tickets right now by clicking the link in the show notes you get the exclusive Creative South Podcast Buy One, Get One free ticket deal. That’s two tickets for the price if one, or if you prefer – two half price tickets. Either way, you get to bring a friend to WMC Fest! Plus, not only will you get to see me podcasting live, you’ll be able to see this week’s guest OK Pants tearing up the stage, and speakers like Stefan Sagmeister, Mark Brickey from Adventures in Design and illustrator Jillian Adel. Don’t forget to click on the link in the show notes to get your BOGO tickets. Also, I really hate saying BOGO, so pick up the tickets so I can stop saying BOGO — BOGO Bo–GO, BO-go, nope it doesn’t sound any better. Head over to WMCfest.com and get your tickets today!
