Nutty Putty Cave, situated west of Utah Lake in Utah County, United States, is a hydrothermal cave known for its narrow passages. It was once a favorite spot for amateur and professional cavers alike. However, a tragic accident in 2009 led to its closure to the public. A man by the name of John Jones was exploring its tunnels when he back stuck in a narrow uncharted section, leaving him upside down as rescuers rushed against the clock to extract him before cardiac arrest claims him.
