Monday of the 20th Week in Ordinary Time (Homily – August 18, 2025)

The rich young man went away sad because he could not let go of what enslaved him. Israel, too, clung to idols and refused the freedom God offered. Our sadness often comes not from what God withholds, but from what we refuse to release. The Lord is not punishing us—He is inviting us to freedom and joy beyond measure. What are you still holding back from Him?
