On the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time (August 10, 2025), Fr. Korey LaVergne reflects on Luke 12:32–48 and the call of Christ to stay awake for the coming of the Master. Whether we are in the first, second, or third watch of life, we are called to keep our lamps burning and our hearts awake. In the Eucharist, we discover the great reversal: the King who returns does not demand service, but bends down to serve us with His very self. “The one you’re waiting for loves you more than you can imagine. And when He comes, He will set you at His table—forever.”
